Five things happened today that made this day very different.
1) I’d never known anything about ecclesiastical court sessions until today.
2) My latest photozine arrived back from the printers.
3) I received and read At The Water’s Edge Two Boats.
4) I went hunting magnolias with a member of the tree society as my guide.
5) I lost my phone and it was recovered in the post office.

The Porteño taxi driver surprised me several times. He smiled and whispered affectionately as he moved the small dog across to steer the car. The terrier had been whimpering, seeking attention as we zipped through Buenos Aires traffic. The smell in the car was also surprising. The windows were open because of the heat and the interior was decorated with toilet bowl fresheners. Pine and lavender as I recall, six clipped to doors and seats that I could see.

I can type because there are proteins that help me do it. The proteins in question enable my muscles to contract and slide over one another among other mundane tasks. They do the same for you and all of our proteins deserve enormous respect. And despite enormous research efforts, we don’t yet know enough about proteins.
