My first question to Bard: “What is going on?”

September 12, 2023 by Simon Robinson 1 Comment

What is going on? walking commentary - Cycling to Rome - seems a long way off

‘Based on the image you sent, it looks like a bicycle is being transported in the back of a van. The bicycle is upright and appears to be secured with bungee cords or straps. The van is a white van with the word “GENESIS” on the side.

It is possible that the bicycle is being transported to a new home, or to a bike race or event. It is also possible that the bicycle is being used for work, such as delivering food or packages.

Without more information, it is impossible to say for sure what is going on in the image. However, it is clear that the bicycle is being transported in a safe and secure manner.’

The van is green though the inside is grey. Genesis is written on the bike not the van. But yes, the bike is being transported to an event, securely.

The event is the trip to Rome. It was to be a walk when first mooted in 2019. It was planned to start in Manchester on April Fool’s Day 2020 but a tiny virus got in the way. It morphed into a short cycle from Manchester to Canterbury which took 8 days last year. Then it was decided to finish the trip to Rome on the bicycles.

And here we are, heading towards Rome.
